3 Cottages - Holmer Cottages are late 19th century semi-detached brick cottages, each with its own south-facing terrace and private garden overlooking an old apple orchard. Each cottage is charmingly furnished and fully equipped for a comfortable holiday.
Woolstone is small, quiet rural village, just a few houses and an ancient church, on the side of the Cotswold Hills overlooking the Severn Valley. It is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with extensive views to the Forest of Dean, the Malvern Hills, Bredon Hill and on a clear day, the Brecon Beacons. All around is good walking and riding country. The next village, half-a-mile away has a good pub with a restaurant, a village shop/post office and a riding stables.
Within a radius of 6 miles are Cheltenham, Winchcombe and Tewkesbury. Cheltenham has an excellent shopping, a theatre, museums, restaurants and a famous racecourse. Tewkesbury, with its rivers, abbey and medieval alleyways has many antique and bric-a-brac shops and a market twice a week. |
